This site has been set up to collect donations for the care and medical expenses for Charles & Betty Gant. This site has been created by several family members to solicit help from the friends and family of Charles & Betty Gant. All donations will be used as stated, and we will have reports available that track the usage of all money collected from this website.
About This Site
Out of all the men walking the earth there is no one I respect more than my Papa (C.O.Gant), he has dedicated his life to working hard for his family. Mema & Papa (Charles & Betty) are the patriarchs of the Gant family, and you would have a hard time finding parents, grandparents, or great-grandparents that are as good as they are.
I still think of them as strong and able, but the truth is that age has had it's toll. We will all need a little help one day, and I hope you find it in your hearts to help them.
This website is two-fold; one we need to collect monthly donations to help cover their care and medical expense and two, we need to raise some money to help them move back were it will be easier to care for them.
I am helping this to happen by creating a point that all family and friends can donate; and I'm keeping track of how the money is used. All the money collected goes into a Paypal account that is linked with a separate savings account under “Charles O. Gant”. They will be able to use the money from the savings account, and PayPal account (PayPal Bank Card).
My job is to track the funds as they go into, or out of the PayPal account. I will receive reports from Cheryl whenever money goes out, and then list the expenses here on this website for all to see. I will not put in every detail on the website (for security), but this information will be available to any family member that request it.

Coming Home
The Economy is becoming a strain on all of us, as you may well be aware of in your own experiences, and this financial pressure has begun to play a toll on mom and dad. Their needs are becoming more and more, everyday. As they have become older, there are more medical issues arising, some requiring hospital stays, and medical tests, more medicines and personal hygiene.
The care I have been giving is beginning to become more difficult for me to maintain. This is a time when they really need your help, their income is depleting much faster, and does not always last all month long. Bottom line, they need more care than I can provide now. Mom and Dad want to come back to Tx. and move into a assisted living community, where they can have the best of care, along with many other benefits. We need your help, to pay for the expenses of moving to TX. and to get into assisted living community.
Any donation are welcome; our goal is to move in August 2011. If you can give something every month, every bi-week, or every week until we reach our goal, that would be so wonderful. Thank you so very much, and we look forward to being with our family again.

For now the monthly donations will be separate from the "one time" (moving expenses) donations. The monthly is set aside to cover any additional monthly medical expenses. However any monthly donations that is not used will be added to the moving expenses at the end of each month until the goal is reached.
